Hawkins, Wait and Co, Egan, The schooner Lady Don was towed out from the Tunnel Wharf on Saturday afternoon, and sailed for Hokitika. .„,.., The barque Corredo, Captain Lamont, was towed out from No 3 Wharf on Saturday afternoon, and sailed for Newcastle. „.-._.,,« The schooner Columbia finished loading produce at Peacock's Wharf on Saturday. She hauled out from the wharf aud sailed for Napier. A schooner of about 30 tons arrived yesterday afternoon. She is supposed to be the Janette Grey, from Dunedin. She left that port on the 29th, with the following cargo, 1385 bundles. The schooner Peerless left Dunedin at the same time for Auckland, with cargo. The schooner Cleopatra arrived at Brisbane on April 14th, after a passage of seventeen days from Lyttelton. The s.s. Otago discharged about 160 tons cargo, and has about 300 tons to take on board. As it was impossible to finish the work on Saturday, the vessel was detained till to-day, at 1 p.m. The shiplnvererne is shortly expected to arrive in Lyttelton lrom N apier. She is to load at this port for Loudon. The Mary Ann Annison was signalled yesterday afternoon about 3.40 p.m., and was inside by 4 p.m. She beat up the harbor and anchored at dark. The vessel is from Newcastle with a cargo of coals. She left Newcastle on the 13th. The s.B. Beautiful Star, Captain Pietersen, arrived in harbor at 9.45 am. yesterday morning. She left Port Chalmers on Friday, at 4 p.m., arrived at Timaru at 4.30 a.m. on Saturday, left again at 7 p.m., and arrived as above. Had strong S.S.E. winds during passage. The Hudson, ship, cleared on Saturday for London, with a cargo of 10,260 sacks of wheat, worth about £IO,OOO. This fine little vessel is in fine trim, and should make a capital passage to the old country, and at any rate, we are sure it will not be Captain Trewyn's fault if she does not do so. Most probably she sails to-day. The barque Joliba, Captain Scouller, arrived in harbor on Friday, April 30th, at 6.30 p.m , from Sydney. The captain reports that he left Sydney on Saturday, April 10th, with moderate N.E. winds and fine weather. On Suuday, April 11th, the wind veered round to the north, which lasted till April 10th, when a strong S.W. wind sprang up. On Sunday, April 18th, it increased to a gale, and the ship was hove to under lower main topsail and mizzen staysail. On April 20th the gale moderated. On April 21st the wind veered round to theN.E., with line weather, which lasted until making Cape Farewell at daylight ou Saturday, April 24th. From that date strong S.E. winds. On April 28th was becalme-i lor eighteen hours. Passed Cape Campbell on Thursday, April 29th, at 9 a.m., with a fresh NVV. breeze ; arrived off the Kaikoras at 4 p.m. On Friday, April 30th, experienced a Btrong S.W. wind at 10 a.m. During the storm she carried away her jibboom ; entered the Heads at 3 p.m. on the same day, aud arrived as above. She was berthed at the Tunnel Wharf on Saturday and will commence to discharge this morning. The Luna, p.s., Captain Fairchild, arrived iu harbor ou Saturday, at lu a.m., from Wellington The captaiu reports that he left that port on b riday, April 30th, at 1 p.m., and towed the ship Dallam Tower iuto the Fairway; cleared the Head.* at 3 p.m., with a strong M.VV. ureeze, which lasted till passing Cape Campbell, at 6 p.m. the same day ; from thence, calm, until arrival of Motanau Island; thence to her arrival, experienced stroug S.W. -winds; on Saturday, the Luna steamed down to the lighthouse with stores, and returned at 5 p.m She will sail for South this evening or to-morrow, and will most likely take the Governor from Dunedin to Wellington. under weigh at midnight the same day; experienced light variable winds and fine weather until passing Cape Farewell; from thence light easterly winds and calms, which lasted until arriving off Cape Campbell, being five days in the Straits. From Cape Campbell to the Kaikoras, had light N.E. winds, and from thence to her arrival strong S.W. winds. The ketch Sarah and Mary arrived in harbor on Friday, at 7 p.m., from Hokitika. She left that port on Wednesday, April 21st, with strong S.E. winds; on Sunday. April 25th, brought up off West Wanganui, in company with the ketch Forest Queen, bound to Wellington; left again next day at 6 p.m., passed Stevens' Island on Monday, April 26th, then light N.W. winds ; passed the Brothers on Tuesday, April 27th, at 6 a.m. -, passed Cape Campbell at 4 p.m. on the same day, made the Heads at daylight on Friday morning, in company with the barque Joliba and brigantine Sarah and Mary: beat up the harbor, and anchored as above. She was berthed at the Breastwork on Saturday morning, and commenced to discharge. As soon as she finishes her discharging she will load for Charlestown, thence to Hokitika, from thence back to Ly ttelton. Her cargo is one of the heaviest that has been shipped from Hokitika to Lyttelton. Messrs McMeckan and Blackwood's fine steamer Otago, Captain John McLean, arrived at the Gladstone Pier at 9.45 a.m, on Saturday, upon her monthly visit to New Zealand. The Otago left Melbourne at 3.15 p.m. on the 22nd instant, cleared the Heads at 5.50 p.m., and passed Swr.n Island at 3.45 p.m. next day; very fine north-easterly wea ther was "experienced during the run across, and the Solander was passed at 10.30 a.m. on the 27th, and the Bluff reached at 5.30 p.m. Discharged a large cargo, and left at 4 p.m. next day ; had light easterly weather down, arrived .it Port Chalmers at 8 a.m. on April 29th, discharged cargo, and left at 4 p,m. on Friday; experienced light S.W. winds, and arrived as above. She sails for North at 1 p.m. to-day.
