The barque Co i Du Village, Captain Smith, arrived in 1 arbor on Thursday, May 6th, at 5 p.m., from Newcasae. The captain reports that he left Newcastle on April 14th, experienced light S.E. winds, which lasted until April 21st; from thence strong northerly winds; made the S.W. Cape if New Zealand on April 21th, at 10 a.m.; from that date light feasterly winds for four days; from thence strong southerly winds until Sunday, May 2nd, was off Godley Heads, but, owing to the heavy S. W. gale, was blown away to the eastward; on Thursday, the 6th inst, had light N.E. winds, entered the heads at 3 p.m., and arrived as above. She was berthed at No 2 wharf yesterday, and bulk will be broken this morning. The Elibank Castle, which arrived yesterday, is a ne"y topsail schooner of 70 tons, and is commanded by Captain Linklater,T formerly of the barque Malay. This is her first visit to Lyttelton, and from what we have seen of her she is a smart and substantial looking craft. The schooner is from Wellington, and brings a general cargo. The captain reports leaving Wellington on Thursday, April 29th, at 9 p.m., accompanied witli moderate N.W. winds, Cape Campbell was passed at midnight; arrived oil the Kaikoraa at noon on Friday, April 30th; a strong gale from the S.W. was experienced next day, lasting until May 4th ; from thence light variables until her arrival at 8.30. She was berthed at No 3 wharf to discharge cargo.
