The north-easterly winds which have lasted for the last day or so, has detained from sailing the schooners Lady Don, Marraion, Favourite, and Tewara, all of which have been ready for sea since Saturday. The first fair wind will make a clearing out. , The s.s. Easby will arrive to-day from Newcastle Sydney, and Wellington. Sha 1b notified to leave for South to-day. The ship Countess of Kintore was taken alongside the Gladstone Pier yesterday, where she will discharge the remainder of her cargo to the (Joq du Village. There is little doubt that both Pearl and Dauntless (schooners) are lost. The former left Auckland on the 7th July, and as many vessels have since arrived from that port, that there is little hope of her ever being seen again. Captain Bennett of the Prince Alfred thinks that part of a wreck of a white vessel that he saw 100 miles east of the Kaikouras on July 30th, must have been a portion of the illfated Dauntless.
