[Per Press Agency.] THIS DAY’S TELEGRAMS. Dunedin, Sept 1. At a large meeting held last night 600 persons were present. A resolution was carried for delay and a reference to the constituencies. Only eight voted for immediate abolition. Port Chalmers, Sept 1. The Good Templars held their second anniversary meeting last night. Over 500 persons were present. Mr John Joyce presided, and delivered an eloquent introductory address. Several prominent members and clergymen addressed the meeting, which proved a great success.
