MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.

CHRISTCHURCH. Monday, September 6. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] Drunk and Disorderly.— James Brown, charged with being drunk, resisting the constable and damaging a cab, was fined 20s, and ordered to pay cab-hire and damage done ; John Buckman, James Watson, John Cunningham, and Thos Wood were each fined ss. William Bent, Neil Wylie, and John Whelan, were each fined 10s. Richard Harper, Daisy Comfort, and John Williams, old offenders, were fined 20s, 40s and 60s respectively. Illegally on Premises. —Edward Sampson, who had been arrested in Messrs Saunders and Henderson’s stables, was discharged in the absence of any evidence from that firm.
