Wellington, November 1. Arrived, this morning, Aurora and Hannah Barrett, from Lyttelton. The ship Waikato arrived from Lyttelton yesterday. The Easby sails for Sydney today about noon, and the Otago for Lyttelton and South about three. It is stated that the Government have recently addressed the Secretary of State for the Colonies on the subject of the stowage aud shipment of gunpowder aboard vessels leaving London for the colonies, particularly New Zealand. Grahamstown, November 1. Mr Wm. Berry was entertained at dinner on Saturday night by the proprietors of the Thames A dvertiser and a number of friends, on the occasion of his leaving the Thames to assume the editorship of the A/ew Zealand Herald.
