POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Wednesday, October 18. For Otago, Bluff, and Australian colonies, per Alhambra, at 3.5 p.m. ; late letters, 3.20 p.m; railway station, 4 p.m.train. Thursday, October 19. Mails per Australia will close as under— For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 11 25 a.m. ; late letters, 11.45 a.m. For the Continent of Europe, America, Canada, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, &c, &c, at 11 a.m. ; late letters, 11.20 a.m. For Northern Forts of New Zealand, at 11.25 a.m. ; late letters, 11.45 a.m. Money orders must be obtained before A§a,m. letters received up to 10.30 a.m. Important. The pillar receiver at the railway station must not be used for late letters. Late letters for the mails, per Australia, can be posted at the guard’s van at the railway station by the 12.25 p.m. train; provided such letters hear, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee.
