MAGISTRATES' COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, July 12. [Before Dr. Deamer, J.P.] Indecent Exposure.—John Grieve was charged with the above offence. Mr Mellish deposed to having seen prisoner acting in an indecent manner in Cathedral square. He was fined 40s, with the alternative of a week's imprisonment. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.]| Larceny.—Thomas Maliinson was chargod with stealing a coat, value 20s, the property of William Boiler. Inspector Hickson asked for a remand, in order to subpeena the informant, who lives at Sumner. Remanded till the 15th instant. Arthur Wellington Palmer was charged with stealing, from a dwelling, wearing apparel to the value of £4 10s, the property of Peterson. Inspector Hickson asked for a remand till Monday in this case, as a quantity of property which prisoner was suspected of having s'olen had not yet been traced. A number of pawn tickets had been found upon prisoner, which would probably lead to the recovery of the missing property. Remanded till Monday.
