Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations i MONDAY, JULY 22. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Maori, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters 2.10 p.m.; railwav station. 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Alhambra, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. TUESDAY, JULY 23. For Otago, overland, at 11 a m. WEDNESDAY, JULY 24. For Otago, per Tanpo. For Northern Ports, per Arawata. For Northern Ports, per Hawea. The next English mail via, Southampton and Brindisi, will close at Christchurch 27th instant, SYuiMrUi J. uXOK, Chief Postmaster.
