The Eichard and Mary, schooner, from Nelson, arrived to-day. The Chusun was towed out into the stream yesterday evening. The barque Iris, Captain Burch, was yesterday towed out into the stream ready for sea. The Australian Sovereign, Captain Berry, cleared yesterday, and goes out into the stream to-day, and her berth at Peacock’s Wharf will be taken by the amille. The Glen Huntley was berthed yesterday at tho Ne. 3 Wharf. The Huon Belle, for Timaru, and Alert, for Wanganui, cleared yesterday. Mr C. W. Turner’s barque Bells sailed from Newcastle on the morning of November 15th, and experienced strong southerly and S.E. breezes till the 18th, when tho wind veered to S.W. and W., and continued so until making the land (Mount Egmout) on Monday, tho 26th ; from thence had strong JS. and N.W. winds through Cook’s it'ait, passing Cape Campbell at midnight of the 26th, and encountered variable W. and S.W. winds thence until arrival in Port on Thursday, the 28th. Tbe s.s. Albion, Captain Tozer, for the first time flying the Union Company’s colors, arrived at 4.10 p.m. yesterday. Left Sandridge at 4.30 p.m. on the 20th; cleared the Heads at 8 p.m.; passed Swan Island at 10.30 p.m. on the 21st. Experienced moderate easterly winds first three days, thence N. and N. W. winds; passed the Solanders at 6 p.m. on the 25th; arrived at the Bluff at 6 a.m. on the 26th; left at 4.45 p.m. same day; arrived at Port Chalmers at 7.15 a.m. on the 27th; left at 8 p.m. same day, and arrived at Lyttelton as above. The Albion brings 100 tons cargo for this port, which she will discharge at the Steamers’ Wharf, sailing for Wellington this afternoon. The s.s. Southern Cross, Captain Helander, arrived at 8 a.m. yesterday, with 90 tons cargo for this port. She left Auckland on the 21st at 9 p.m.; reached Gisborne at 6 a.m. on 23rd; discharged 30 tons cargo, and sailed at 3 pm. same day ; reached Napier at 3 a.m. Sunday ; discharged 30 tons cargo and sailed at 3 p.m. Monday, reaching Wellington at 5 p.m. on Tuesday ; left again at 12.30 p.m., and arrived as above. The Southern Cross sails on her return trip North on Saturday. The “ Otago Times ” says The Union Companyhave selected their favorite steamer the Taranaki to make the annual excursion to the Sounds on the West Coast on the 24th proximo. Captain Malcolm’s intimate knowledge of the coast is a fnarantee that the trip, like its predecessors, will e a most enjoyable one. The brig Emperor, Captain Cleary, left Newcastle for Lyttelton on November 24th. INTEECOLONIAL SHIPPING. The George Noble arrived at Newcastle hence on November 12th; the Elizabeth November loth: and the Pleiades and Palalaon November 18th j and Emperor on the 16th. The Victoria, barque, sailed from Newcastle for here on November 15th. SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. Auckland, November 28. Sailed—Taranaki, for the South, this afternoon. Passengers for Lyttelton- Messrs Collier, Laley, Moddern, and Mrs Dent. Port Chalmers, November 29. Sailed—Barques Acacia, Seashell, for Hobart Town; brigantines Ada and Owen, for Kaiapara.
