POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations £^ kd a Y , december u Fop the Northern [ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 3.15 p.ra.; late fee letters, 3.35 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. MONDAY, DECEMBER 16, For Akaroa and Otago, per Wanaka. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 18, For Northern ports, per Ringarooma. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Arawata. Mails for the United Kingdom via Suez and Brindisi will close on Wednesday, December 18th. The mail via Suez and Southampton will bo dno in London on February 17th, and via Brindisi ou February 10th, 1879. The next mail for the United Kingdom via Sail Francisco, will close on January 3rd, aud will be due in London on February 18th, 1879. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
