[belter’s TELEGRAMS.] Great Fire at Quebec.

OVER 1000 HOUSES DESTROYED, LONDON, Jane 9.

Telegrams have been recieved from Quebec, Canada, announcing that a most destructive fire has occurred in that city. It broke out in a thickly populated part, and spread with great rapidity to several blocks of houses, all efforts to ally its progress being for some time without avail. The conflagration raged for several hours with great severity, but was finally extinguished. It is stated that fully one thousand houses have been completely destroyed. It is not yet known whether any loss of life has occurred.
