Th* Secretary read a report of the itate qf thq fqnds, after which it was resolved that mem, bers discontinue paying their subscriptions until the fund is reduced to the cum of £25, and that new employee* be aeked to contribute a six months’ subscription of sixpence a week to the fund. There have been two accidents during the past twelve months, a claim being made for one/week in each case," anfl three accident* for three daye each, making a total demand bn the fund of £3 10a, The Buoscriptioni have amounted to £5B 5e.The balance of the money h« been placed !h the P.O, Savings Bank, whioh with interest leaves the sum of £55 14s 61 to the credit of the fund, io that one month's subscription has ‘been mors than sufficiait to' rfieet the demands of the year.
