A Strange Murder.
Sydney, July 6. This morning a patient in Callan Park Asylum, whose name is yet unknown, struck another pitient named Frederick Heron two blows with his fist, once over the region of the stomach and once in the face, knocking him down. Death ensued about five minutes after. The assailant was immediately arrested. From what can be gathered of the sudden occurrence, it appears that both the men were inmates of the asylum. They were in the building together, and began “sparring” with each other; when the fatal blow was delivered to the deceased man Heron. The men were not in earnest, and the deceased was struck quite unintentionally. The name of the other man is James Ramsay.
