RESIGNATION OF GEN. VON MOLTKE. A FRIENDLY LETTER. WHAT THE FRENCH PRESS SAYS. Bbiu.in, Aug. 16. General Von Mollke has resigned his position as Chief General of the Prussian Army Staff. He will be succeeded by Lieut.-General Count Von Waldersee. The Emperor William has written to General Yon Moltke a friendly letter, accepting his resignation. Paiub, Aug 16. Ths French Press considers that the nomination of Count Von Waldersee as suooutßor to Count Von Moltke is a triumph for the War party.
