WHATAUPOKO ROAD DISTRICT, NOTICE is hereby given that a Poll of the Ratepayers or this district will be taken on TUESDAY NEXT, 11th September, 1888, upon a proposal by the Board to obtain a sum of £2,800, in terms of the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886, for the purpose of metalling the Streets of North Gisborne and Hapara No. 3, and erecting a Bridge over the Hapara Stream. The Polling Booth is at Mr Barry’s House, hear Mr Dunlop’s, Stout Street, North Gisborne, and will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 o’clock p.m. Every Ratepayer is requested to vote, as absentees count against the proposal.
