A MUNICIPAL MATTER.
Adi. who take an interest in our ipuniojpal affaire cannot do otherwise than regret the resignation of Or Morgan, and still more regret the cause which led to it, that was, ill, health. Mr Morgan has made an excellent Councillor, and has carried out his duties in a most efficient manner. He is one of those Who think before deciding on any point, and since he has been a member of our Council there is not one of his actions that can be recounted to his disadvantage. If Or Morgan is replaced by a man of the ean;a stamina, then the ratepayers will have the best of reasons to be satisfied. He shows much consideration for those represented by deciding to resign rather than neglect the duties that his office would entail on him. The ratepayers must therefore accept the inevitable, and we hope that as good ■ man will be got to take Ct Morgan’s teat.
