Comet) also started. Dividends, £l2 12s and £8 17s. PARK STAKES HANDICAP—2OO BOVS ; 1 mile. Recluse (7st 31b) 1 Leonore (6st) 2 Waterfall (7st rib) 3 Silenoe. Escutcheon, Dudu, Cuirassier, Jet D’Eau, Partner, and Meta also started. Escapade was scratched. The race was a grand one, and was nearly a dead heat. Dividends, £ll and £lO 6s. POXY RACE. Fidget 1 TRAMWAY handicap—7s sovs; J mile. Whisper (7st) 1 Lady Florin (7st 131 b) ... ... 2 Esoapade (Bst 9lb) 3 Won easily. Dividend, £l5. HACK RACE. Pretender (Clifford) 1 The Dove ... ... 2 Dividend, £1 17s. GRAND STAND HANDICAP. Dudu (Bst 11b) ... ... ... 1 Meta (7st) 2 Leonore (fist 121 b) 3 This concluded the day’s racing. The ground was ratlier heavy, and the going consequently slow.
Owing to want of space “ Manuka’s ” notes have been crowded out of this issue. For the Hurdles he tips Clyde or Darnley, for the Flying Handicap Deceiver or Aud icity, and for the Spring Handicap Audacity or Myth.
