CHRISTCHURCH NOTES, Christchurch, last night. Last night’s rain made the tracks at RioCarton rather heavy this morning and tbe work performed was not of an important character. British Lion and St Clair went two miles at three quarter speed and Strenuous Was sweated over four miles. Vandal and Manton were associated u a steady two miles and a half, and Cuirassier and Leopold did similar work. Exchange went round steadily and Son of a Gun made one circuit at a Similar pace. Chaiushot and Engagement were sweated over two miles and a ha f, and Si verm rk galloped a mile at nearly top ■peed, and then cantered twice round. Lorraine w.,s sent a mile and a quarter at a smart pao*. and Buhy covered two miles at three quarter speed.
