A curious affair is reported from the tjopth. A large cattle owner met with a serious loss Whilst driving & mob of cattle along the dangerous mountain track from Kingston to Queenstown tbe other day. At that part known as the “ Devil’s Staircase,” one of the bullocks sprang over a precipice thousands of feet deep, followed by all the others.
