ARRIVALS. The Maitai arrived in the Bay yesterday morning, from Auckland via coastal ports. Passengers: Mrs Harding and Inspector Kiely. The Australia, from Wellington and Napier, arrived here yesterday morning. Passengers : Misses Porter (2), Major Porter, Messrs Drake, Hol croft, and Hird. Mr J. A. Harding's topsail schooner Awaroa arrived in the Bay, from Napier, yesterday morning, and on sailing into the river on the afternoon’s tide, she got stuck, but will probably be floated off by next tide. The vessel brings a cargo of coal, consigned to the owner. The Tarawera, from Sydney and Auckland, arrived in the roadstead at 1.30 yesterday afternoon. Passengers : Mrs Murphy, Mr C. Armstrong, and one steerage. The barque Lochnagar, from London via Bluff, dropped anchor off the red buoy at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Owing to the roughness of the weather, she has as yet had no communication with the shore, but should the weather moderate to-day, the lighters will probably oommence unloading the vessel, DEPARTURES. The Australia left for North at 11.30 yesterday, taking—Mr and Mrs Nihoniho, and one native. The Maitai steamed on to Napier and Wellington at 2 o’clock yesteMay af.ernoon. taking the following passengers: —Sir and Mrs Dawson and three children, Mr Harris and aon. and Mr Curtis. The Tarawera left for Melbourne via Southern ports at about six o’clock last evening, taking—Mrs Haere, Misses Dawson, Andrews, Sutherland, Mackie, Morgan, Jones, and Telford; Revs. Wallace, Dean, Fox, Mohi Turei, and Archdeacon Williams; Inspector Kiely, Messrs Newbould, Palairet, Field, Morgan, Knight, Poynter, Harris and son, Cooper, Ormond, Wilkinson and son.
