School Concert.
The Annual Schoo! Concert, held in tho Theatre Royal last evening was a most unqualified success. Where all did .well, .it would be perhaps invidious to particularise certain items, but Masters .Humphreys, Hamblett and Buchanan certainly call for special mention. Young Harry Hird and Eli Jennings delighted the audience,, not only by their costumes as Fijian natives, but by their encore—a violin duet. The choruses by the elder children gave proof that Mr H- Bull (who acted as conductor) had spared no pains in regulating their voices and must be accorded the thanks of all for the success aoheived. The remark? made equally apply to the “action songs " by the “ infants, ” in which perfect harmony of motion as well as of voice was clearly displayed, One very noticeable feature of the evening was the accompaniment of Mr Haughey, who certainly gained amongst the musical auditors praise for “ keeping with, not leading the singers. " The proceeds were about £4O gross,
