Success in every way appears to have attended the ioagurgtion of the above. It is not alone that the aoting-Secretary has found no difficulty in gaining members, as in the tact that the outside public have approved. The guage of those outside is generally the best—the guage of the inner circle is sometimes more to ba considered. Mr W. J. Quigley’s plans were approved of for tfie building. The following brief description will give our readers an insight as to the work The building will cover about 82 x 33 feet, The ground floor is to contain large dining room, 37 x 24 feet, and is entered by side steps from the terrace io an open area; a ladies’ cloak room and lavatory is also provided for, A large caterer's room joins the dining-room ; a stewards’ room, reporters' and gentlemen's cloak room are all provided for in the main building. The architect has etqiiied the convenience of the outside publip, and those who enter the lawn, by flaying separate bar accommodation. ’ The gallery, which will be dnly Half floored in ths meantime, is ascended by three flights of stairs leading from the terrace, and will accommodate about 700 people when completed. The architect only floors half the gallery at the present time.
