A.J.C. AUTUMN MEETING. Sydney, April 22. The Australian Jockey Club experienced lovely weather for their Autumn meeting. Autumn Stakes, 1| miles—Abercorn, 9.0, 1; Carbine, 8.4,2 ; Australian Peer, 9.0, 3. Cranbrook and Lochiel also started. Carbine was raoet’fancied, and left the paddock at even money, 2 to 1 against Abercorn, 6 to 1 Australian Peer, and 8 to 1 Lochiel. A good start was effected, Cranbrook at once rushed to the front, making the pace for hie stable companion. Coming into the straight the two New Zealanders] closed on the leaders, but Hales notioinglthat Cranbrook had shot his bolt soon brought the big son of Chester along with a rush, and at the distance poet had assumed the lead, Carbine however came again, and fighting every inch of the road home, again succeeded in wresttogthe lead. It was only for a moment, for Hales sat down on the Hon. J.
