Football Jottings.

Nafizb, last night. The Poneke Footballers arrive by steame from Auckland, and will play the Pirates in the afternoon, the steamer being delayed till after the match, and will convey the visitors on to Wellington.

The Poneke (Wellington) Footballers passed through Gisborne yesterday on their way from Auckland to Wellington via Napier, They were taken by the local footballers for a short drive in a brake, and subsequently they exercised their limbs on the football ground. A scratch match will be played in Captain Tucker's paddock to day, sides being chosen by the Captain and Secretary of the Gisborne Club.
