It is rumored that several important changes are about to be made in the management of the New Zealand Stud and Pedigree Stock Company. The exact nature of those changee has not been allowed to transpire, bnt Mr George Cutts, who for many years had charge of the Middle Park Stud Company's breeding establishment, at Christchbrch, is freely mentioned as the new manager at Sylvia Park. At ameeting of the committee of the Auckland Racing Club, held recently, it was decided to recommend the throwing open of the gates free on the occasion of the Winter Meeting to be held next month. The programme put forth by the Takapuna Jockey Club for their Winter Meeting was brought Up for adoption, but as it was £5O short of the amount required by the rules, the committee declined to puss it. The Auckland Coursing Club’s programme met with a like fate, though on different grounds.
