Whataupoko Road Board.

Ths above Board met on Tuesday afternoon when all the members were present. Mr Sigley wrote stating that the eontraoto? for the Riverside Road was putting on inferior gravel, and also that he was delaying the work by taking off his teams, and further that be bad damaged ths work previously done.—Mr Joyce considered the contractors would be held liable for alt damage done — Mr Clayton, sen., a resident on the Riverside Road, estimated the cost of ths damage Of £so.—The Engineer was instructed to enquiry into these complaints. And it wee also decided that Mr O’Neil, the contractor, be communicated with on the matter, and that a committee consisting of the whole Board, together with the Engineer, inspect the work.' G. Fisher, poundkeeper wrote refusing to refund the fees charged to Lange, and also that the hay was “ sweet and good," It was ordered that the neoesatT repairs in Stout street be done.

On the motion of Mr O’Meara It was agreed that the formation of Fox street for fl chains be dona and that 18 yards of gravel be put on. This brings the cost of the street to £27(1. Tenders for Hapara Road ware received, from R. Knox at £5B 15s 5d and F, Hiokl (accepted) at £49 10s. The following accounts were passed:—* Connty Council, £6 ss; Waimata Board, £3 17s sd; A. J. O'Niel, £2l 10s ; B. Knox, £36; J. M. OUivier, £4 18).
