The Shah has arrived in Russia, and has had a splendid reception. The Bishopric of Sydney ia likely to be vacant by the end of the year. The Bishop of Ballarat is seeking English preferment. It is reported that Mr Sherrington Alexander, formerly of Australia, is the unknown donor of £lOO,OOO to erect a new building to be used as a National Portrait Gallery. Mr Bricket has commenced his duties M Consulting Engineer fcr New Zealand at London.
