In a speech made by Mr Parnell, he declared that concession would follow concession uutil a national Parliament was granted to Ireland. If the project of the constitutional movement failed to restore to the Irish people the right to make their own laws, he would not remain at Westminster 21 hours longer, but he believed their wishes would now soon be realised. He said the real issue could not be decided by an earthly tribunal, and khat the present Commission was considering a political issue, the decision of which was left to those who could not give an impartial judgment.
