Spit, Thursday. Arrived—Ruapehu, at 9.30 a.m., from Lyttelton. Auckland, Thursday. Arrived —Mararoa, at 10 a.m., from BydDty. Last night. Sailed—Mararoa. at 230 p.m.,for Gisborne. The Australia left Napier for this port last night. She arrives here early this morning. Last launch at 8 a.m. The Mararoa, from Sydney and Auckland, arrives in the Bay this afternoon. The outward passengers leave the wharf at 5. The Tarawera leaves Wellington to-night and calls in at Napier on Sunday, arriving here on the following morning. She goes on to Auckland shortly after arrival. The Fairy, which arrived from Napier yesterday morning, was taken up the Taraheru river as far as the Hapara creek to discharge her cargo of timber for the Freezing Works. The steamer was taken up the river by Captain Kennedy. She will probably leave for Napier to-day.
