The Harbor Bills.
A STRONG OPPOSITION ORGANISED, [rnoa oun own cotiMSFONDENt.] Wellington, last night. The Gisborne Hat bar 3.11 will most likely come before the House to-morrow. The Oamaru Harber Board have impudence enough to think little of the boldest sohemei. They have had a Bill introduced into Parliadi ment with the object ot being allowed tel borrow another £70,000. Tita young New Zealand party are or. ganizing a strong opposition to th- Oamaru and Gisborne Harbor Bills in order to prevent the spending ci further money on wbaL they assert is Wasteful extiavagattoe by throwing minor into the sea. The object 0! tha party is to stop the further construeI tion of artificial haibcuia, no matter how much needed in order to centralize trade, at tha now piincipal ports. Ormond will, I am credibly informed, make one to further Impede the progress of your works. Strong opposition has been declared against the Setting up of the Committee to bo moved by the Premier to enquire into Harbor Board affurs, and it is probab'n that tho Committee mayjoot be set up. This ia however of lit la consequence to the Government aa a similar Commutee has already been set up in the Upper House, aud will bring out aft the facts which they require to mak* known.
