FULLY ONE-THIRD MORE POWER Is derived by this new movement than is obtained from the old style of bevel gear and spur pinon, besides the motion is directly transmitted to the knife, while fully one third of the power on the old-fashioned mowing machines is lost by friction while passing through the various gears, pinona, spur wheels, bevel gears, etc., before it reaches the cutters.
