"JACK THE RIPPER.”

A NEW CHAPTER IN HIS CAREER. HE BEGINS IN JULY. TWO HUNDRED POLICE ON DUTY. London, July 18. A letter frotn “ Jack The Ripper ” recently informed the police that he would begin operations again in July, and the recent murder in White - chapel is consequently attributed to him. The murdered woman was about 40 years of age. She has not been identified. The clothes round the abdomen were gashed, but the body was intaot. The throat was cut. The murdered had evidently been disturbed at his ghastly work and fled. A constable passed the spot five minutes previously. Two hundred police now form a cordon round the district.
