While boln * towed ont of the river by the Noko on Wednesday afternoon, the schooner Wsiwera stuck on 'the sand bank just abreast of the water guago on the breakwater and about her own length from the chafing piles. Efforts ,wer.e taade to get her Off, but she swung round quickly and carried away some of her steering gear, which necessitated the vessel being brought up to the wharf again. After the necessary repairs had been effected, the schooner was with great difficulty got clear of the river. When the Awaroa was coming in she also grounded about the same place, and had to be dragged over the sand bank, which has formed in the channel way. At 3.45 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the Mararoa left Auckland for this port. She should arrive here about the same hour this afternoon. The outward pissengors will leave the wharf at 5, after which the Mararoa will continue her passage South. Last evening the Southern Cross left Napier for North, She arrives in the Bay early this morning, and resumes her voyage after discharging cargo. The Tarawera, from South, arrives here early to-morrow morning. The last launch goes off at 7.
