Peculiar “Reporting.”
[lO THE SDITOB.I Sin,—Knowing that in your paper fair and impartial reporting of meetings, Court cases, etc., is the invariable rule, permit me through the columns of the Stardaud to point out a thoroughly take statement which appeared in your contemporary’s issue ot Saturday last. The report ot a case against myself concludes I ” This is the fourth charge that has arisen because ot cruelty to animals owned by Mr Robert Knox,” This gratuitous addendum was uncalled for, in so fat as it was never m Gnt io n9 d in Court, and it ie, further, absolutely untruthful. I have, unfortunately, had to answer twine tor neglect by my servants, but why these offences for which I am held responsible should be doubled I know not. My abject In writing this is to octrsot the unfair impression which would assuredly got abroad it I neglected to doutr*. diet so gross a straining ot ths truth.—-I am, Bonaire Knox.
