GREAT BRITISH NAVAL REVIEW.
THE EMPEROR OF GERMANY IN ENGLAND. London, August 0. The review of the British fleet, at Spithead yesterday, in honor of the visit of the Emperor of Germany, was a grand affair. One hundred war ships took part, while twelve German ironclads accompanied the Emperor’s Imperial yaoht. The Queen viewed the mancouvrea from the Royal yacht. The Emperor expressed great gratification and named his first Dragoon Guards the ' Victoria ’ Guards, in honor of the Queen of England, and conferred on her tha honorary colonelcy of the regiment. Aua. 7. The Emperor was present at Aidershot to-day, when a review of 26,000 troops took place. At luncheon, afterward, he said the British fleet was unequalled in the world, and spoke in eulogistic terms of tha facility with which the vessels were handled at the manoeuvres on Monday. In the course ot bis speech the German Emperor said tha British navy and German army, acting in concert, could dictate terms of peace to the world. The Queen replied in effusive terms.
