Australia arrived in the roadstead vesterday morning, from Wellington and spier, Passengers: Miss Lyford, Messrs B ake, Maxwell, Fitzgerald, Carson, and two Chinamen.
Tbes.s. Fairy, from Napier, arrived here »»rly yesterday morning. The Union Company’s steamer Wrihora -.-rived at an anchorage in the bay shortly .iter noon yesterday, from Auckland, i'uaengen: Miss H. K. Jones, Mr and Mrs tf. Kent, Messrs Ryan, Pavitt, Fairs, and Bush. DEPARTURES. The s.s. Waihora resumed her passage south last evening, taking—Mrs Ward and ’tiree children, Me-srs McLernon, Whitty, Brown, Parris, Morris, Longdell, C. Smith, and Karaitiana. Theas. Australia steamed on North last night, taking—Mr Waller. The e.s. Southern Cheas left for Napier yesterday morning. Passengers : Messrs Pell, and Collinson. IMPORTS. Arrived—Barquentine Jasper, at 10.15 am., from Mauritius. Wellington, Thursday. Sailed—Aorangi, at 6.15 p.m., for Port Chalmers. Sht, yesterday. Arrived—Brigantine Bio, at midnight, from Newcastle. Lyttelton, Thursday. Sailed—Barque Bothersay Bay, at 10 a.m., or London. At 8.30 a.m. yesterday the Fairy steamed up the river to the freezing works to discharge her cargo of timber. She leaves for Napier again shortly after 8 o’clock this morning. The schooner Gisborne leaves Auckland on on or about the 24th inst., for this port. The e.i. Manapouri arrives from South to-morrow morning. She goes on to Auckland and Sydney, the last beat leaving at 8.
