London, Aoguat 26. “A procession of 100,000 dock strikers marched" to Hyde Park on Saturday. The men protest they will not yield to masters. Shipping Companies have offered to concede to most of the demands of the strikers, hut the men stand out firmly for abolition of the contract system. During a westerly galo, H.M.S. Sultan, which was recently raised from the place where she sank, drifted ashore, bnt subsequently floated, and was towed to Malta. In the naval mock warfare which is now proceeding, the vessels which escaped from Queenstown harbor have returned, actively pursued by IS of the enemy's cruisers. An Embassy from the King of Shea (Abyssinia) has arrived at Naples on a diplomatic mission to King Humbert. The seizure of Canadian fishing vessels in Behering Sea still continues. pt O’Brien and Gilhoolly, members for West Cork, have each been sentenced to two months* imprisonment for instigating tenants to refuse to pay their rente. At the completion of the term sureties for future good behavior will have to be found, or a further term of two months’ imprisonment will be imposed. Aug. 27. The regular dockmen only number 3000. The remainder of the men on strike are riverside workmen, said to number 80,000 Admiral Baird escaped from Queenstown Harbor, where he wss blockaded by Admiral Tryon’s fleet. The Bulgarian Government have ordered 60.000 rifles, and 10,000,000 cartridges. R General Happolyte has been elected President of Hayti. Paris, Aug. 25.
