The Borough Council election, to which we have previously referred, takes place to-day. As the candidates have previously been singled out for criticism, little further need now be said. There are no questions of great importance before the Council, jbut ratepayers should not allow this to render them apathetic ns to the result. The Council has one thing facing it which requires that only the best men whom the ratepayers have the opportunity ot choosing should be elected—.that is a scarcity of funds, Again we repeat that those candidates who arc most deserving of the confidence of the ratepayers are, Messrs — Dunlop, Whinaby, and Hepburn.
