Aa Mr Maher and hia wife, residents of Brunswick, Victoria, were returning from a ball about 4 o’clock on Saturday morning, 7th ins*.. they found a revolver wrapped in a (ilk handkerchief near Brunswick Town Hall. They took it heme, and while examining the Weapon a cartridge exploded, the bullet therefrom lodging in Mrs Maher's abdomen. She waa taken to the hospital, and died next d*y> The taueri lady’s age was IB years.
