THE A.J.C, SPRING MEETING. Sydney, September 27. The following are the results of yesterday’s races:—

Second Hurdle Race—Bellringer 1, Kangaroo 2, Drilldoll 3. Twelve others started; won easily. The Craven Plate.—Hon. J. White’s Abereorn (Hales), 1; Mr P. Butler’s Manton (Harris), 2; Hon, J. White's Sinecure (Huxley), 3. Melos and Plenty were the only other candidates. Manton and Sinecure jumped to the front at the start, and when fairly set going the latter took tip the running. At the mile post Mr White’s colt was leading by eight lengths from Manton, and six furlongs from home had increastd the distance to twelve lengths ; Sinecure then began to tire, and the others caught him fast. At the turn, Ahercorn disposed of the field, and won easily by four lengths, Manton half a length ahead of Sinecure. Time 2 min. 11 sec. The Suburban Handicap.—Ringdove 1, Bernado 2, Pugilist 3. Eighteen started; won by a length. Second Foal Stakes.—Hon. J. White’s Rudolph 1, Sydney 2. No others started; won by two lengths bard held, Wycombe Stakes.—Hon. J. White’s Dreadnought, 1; Mr J. H. Want’s The Tyler. 2; Hon. W. A. Long’s Daniel, 3. These were the only starters. Dreadnought won with the greatest ease. Time, 3 mins. 15 secs. Sydney Handicap.—Jack I,Novice 2, Ellerdale 3. There were 12 other starters. Th's event produced a great race to the distance post, where Jack came away from the ruck, and won by a length.

HAWKE’S BAY J.C. SPRING MEETING. Napier, last night. The first day’s racing of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club’s Spring Meeting took place today. The weather, though very fine in the morning, was threatening in the afternoon and the attendance was only moderate, The following arc the results September Handicap, of BOan vs.—Pretender 1, Whisper 2, Tongariro 3. Six others ran. Pretender had the best of the start and maintained the lead to the finish, winning by length. Time 2min 2 secs; dividend £7 Ss. r Hurdles, GOsovs.—Chemist 1, Waterfall 2. Turakaiti 3. Two others ran. Chemist got the advantage at the start and was never beaded, winning by a length, after a tough race with Waterfall. Time dmins leec; dividend £2 7s. Hawke's Bay Guineas, SOOsovs.—Tirailleur, 1; Scots Grey, 2; Strephon, 3. Two others ran. At the start Scots Grey and Strephon took command, but when fairly straight Tirailleur came away, and won somewhat easily by three lengths. Time, Imin 48eecs; dividend, £4 19s Maiden Plate, 40sovs.—Burdhelen, 1; Huerfano, 2; Dauphine, 3. Three others ran. Waterbaby led at the start.
