(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Napier, last night. At the Supreme Court on Tuesday in the aoticn Fletcher v Leopold, claim £6OO for malicious prosecution, the jury brought in a verdict for plaintiff of a farthing damages. His Honor refused to certify for coats. Yesterday the Court was occupied the greater part of the day with the libel action Dr Von Morbich v. the proprietors of the Waipawa Mail. The alleged libel was contained in letters published in the Mail in September last year, in which the plaintiff’s right to be entitled doctor was denied, and in which he waa also likened to "Shylock.” The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff with damages of £251, explaining that £250 was for that part denying plaintiff’s qualifications as a doctor, and £1 for that part likening him to "Shylock.” FTis Honor certified for costs on the medium scale,

After 8 o’clock in the evening the ease of Turner v. Wilberfoss, suit for specific performance of contract to sell a house and land, was concluded, and His Honor gave judgment for defendant, but without costs. Notice of appeal was given, The Court to-day is occupied with the will case Bennett v. Parkes, which is likely to last several days.
