Dividend, £2 15s.—Napier Spring Handicap, of 225sova : Tirailleur (Poulsen) 1; Tongariro, 2 ; Soots Grey, 3. Five others started. Tirailleur wa? a warm favorite. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 2mins. 48 l-sth sec. Dividend, £2 7s.—Nursery Handicap : Pearl Powder, 7.12, (Poulsen) 1; Dryad, 7.11, 2 ; Dreamland, 88, 3. Four others started. Won by a short neck. Time, b2aeos. Div. £3 7s.—Post Stakes : Emerald (Clifford) 1 ; Bronte, 2; Rakehou, 3. A good race. Won by nearly a length.—Welter Handicap : Pretender, 93, (Farrel) 1 ; Soudan, 9.7, 2; Man Friday, 82, 3. Won by a couple of lengths, —Fiee Handicap : Strephon (Page) I; Pretender, 2; Huerfana, 3. Young Page had the race in his own hands, winning easily. The Club were favored with beautiful weather, and a public hbliday having been declared the attendance was naturally very large. The sum of £3,975 was passed through the totalisators, and with £5,605 the previous day, exceeds by £2,250 the total of last year’s Spring Meeting.
