NOTICE. rpHE Board intend on the 22nd instant to strike an ordinary Rate on Rateable property of the whole Harbour district in the proportions of the different parts of the said district of One Halfpenny in the £ on rateable property in the County of Cook, and of One Penny in the £ on rateable property in the Borough of Gisborne, to be made under the provisions of the Rating Act, 1882, and the Gisborne Harbour Act, 1884’ and several Amendments thereof, for the annual period commencing on the Ist day of January, 1889, and ending on 31st day of December, 1889, payable in two instalments on the Ist November and 31st December, 1889, to provide interest and sinking fund on £200,000 Loan. The Rate Books are open for public inspection at this office (up to noon on 22nd instant, when objections (if any) will be considered by the Board. J.
