Melbocbne, Nov. 6. The following is the result of the Melbourne Cupßravo, 1; Carbine, 2 ; Melos, 3. Seventeen others started. The betting at the poet was 7 to 2 against Melos, 4 to 1 Chicago, 10 to 1 Bravo, Carbine, and Benzon, 12 tol Kniuht of the Garter and Singapore, 20 to 1 Antaeus and Rudolph, 25 to Itosoto 1 on the others. Won by a length, half a neck separating the second and third horses. Time, 3m 325.
CnarsTCHVBCH, last night. The New Zealand Cup resulted as follows : —Tirailleur, 1; Scots Grey, 2; Occident, 3. Five others started. A splendid race up the straight, the Napier horse winning by half a length, and Occident five lengths away third. Time, 3m33|s. Divs, £2 2s and £2 Ils 6d.
Derby Stakes—Scots Grey, 1 ; Cynisca, 2; Peerswick, 3. Won easily by four lengths. Time, 2m 425. Div. £llos.
