Ormond School Committee
This Committee met one evening last week. All the members were present, excepting Mr Skillioorn, Mr Bruce was voted to the oheir. Three applioatlone were received for the post of assistant mistress, now vacant by tha retirement ef Miss Baty, and Mise Bedingfield (late ot Takapou) was successful in obtaining the appointment. The Inspeotor'e report (already published) on the recent examination of the school also came up for consideration, end was found to bo of a highly satisfactory nature. The following resolution, 'proposed by Mr McMillan end seconded by Mr MeKensio, was unanimously carried :—“ That this Committee place on record its pleasure and satisfaction at the very good rvaults obtained at the late examination of the eobool, and that a vote of thanks be given to the staff, for so successful a termination to the year's work.” ' The following is a summary of results where the examination has been completed :— r
