The steam launch Tuna (Captain Millman) arrived in the bay at 11.20 yesterday morning, and came into the river shortly afterwards, being berthed alongside the wharf. The Tuna left Wellington at 9 p.ra. on Friday last, and had fine weather with the wind fresh from 8.E., until reaching Cape PaHiser’, when she met with a heavy swell. At 440 p.m., Castle Point was passed and early on Sunday morning the wind freshened from the S.E., accompanied with a heavy sea. About noon Port, land Island was sighted and the same evening the 'Tuna steamed up to an anchorage for shelter. Communication was held with the lighthouse keeper, who put off in his boat and took some of the orew ashore. At 430 a.m. yesterday the little vessel resumed her passage, arriving here as above, The a.a. Australia left Auckland at 0, 30 on Tuesday evening, and should therefore reach hero this afternoon. She is announced to Steam for Napier at 6, The S.S. Southern Cross left Wellington on Tuesday evening and calls in at Napier to day, arriving here early on Friday morning. She afterwards leaves for Auckland,
The s.s. Te Anau, from Sydney and Auckland, arrives in the bay to morrow. She leaves for Soutbern ports in the evening. The topsail schooner Awaroi is now due from Tairau,
