Whataupoko Road Board.

Tax above Board met on Thursday afternoon. Present: Ths Chairman, and Messrs - Sigley, Clayton and Saudlant. In reference to Mr Griffin’s complaint about the Hapara outlet, the County Engineer suggested that the Board write to the Council and ask them to deepen the road drain,— Agreed to, Correspondence was reoeived from the County Council suggesting that tbe Board boar one halt of the cost of filling the low ground at McLean’s street junction, It wag decided that the Council should be informed that McLean street does not require filling, and that tbe hole complained of is upon the County Boada. It waa agreed tp expend £3 on improving tbe Hill road near Mr Coleman's residence.

Tbe following accounts were passed:—J. Chute, 10s; Rioe, £9 6s ; A. J. O'Neil, £5O ; B Knox. £7O ; F. Hicks, £4O. Mr J. Grady waited on tho Board, and reported the closing of tbe track through Matokitoki. The Chairman suggested that tbe Waimata settlers who did not contribute to tbe cost of the road through Matokitoki should give their labor (or drainage works, if the Board found timber tor the culverts, On the motion of the Chairman it was resolved that the Board meet on Sunday next at 9.80 a.m, to view this road. It was resolved that the Borough Council be applied to (or one half the cost ot the outlet drain in Ballon eg street,
