SIR,— We, Electors of the East Coast Elec District, beg to request that you will become a candidate for this seat, rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr Graham. You are so well acquainted with tho wants rf the District that we need not press them upon your notice, further than to point out the absolute necessity which exists for the reduc tion of taxation, the opening of the lands, both Native and Crown Lands, for settlement, and tbe closing of the disputes regarding titles, which are and always have been so great a hindrance to the prosperity of this district. Believing that you will bring both energy and knowledge to the performance at political duties we repeat onr request that you should solicit tbe suffrages of the Electors of the East Coast.
