SIB,— We, Electors of the East Coast Electoral District, beg to request that you will become a candidate for this seat, rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr Graham You are so well acquainted with the want, of the District that we need not press them upon your notice, further than to point out the absolute necessity which exists for the reduction of taxation, the opening of the lands, both Native and Crown Lands, for settlement and the closing of the disputes regarding titles, which are and always have been so great a hindrance to the prosperity of this district.
